This 1:200 scale collectible model of the Airbus A320 Peach Aviation JA08VA from JC Wings recreates one of the most interesting aircraft in Japanese civil aviation. Its distinctive feature is the exclusive Fly Peach to AMAMI livery, which combines the histories of two Japanese airlines and has become a symbol of popular tourist destinations in Japan.
The History of the Real Aircraft
The Airbus A320-214, with registration number JA08VA and serial number 6447, was manufactured in 2015 for the Japanese low-cost airline Vanilla Air. The aircraft was painted in a distinctive yellow-and-white color scheme that set the airline apart from other carriers.
In 2019, Vanilla Air merged with Peach Aviation, after which the aircraft were gradually repainted in Peach’s corporate colors. However, aviation enthusiasts loved Vanilla Air’s yellow livery so much that they appealed to the carrier to keep at least one aircraft in this livery.
The airline heeded its fans’ wishes, and JA08VA became a special aircraft in the Peach Aviation fleet.
On March 5, 2021, it began flying in a special Fly Peach to AMAMI livery. The first flight, MM205, operated from Kansai International Airport to Amami Island.
The Fly Peach to AMAMI inscription is dedicated to the picturesque Amami Islands in southern Japan. This route held special significance for Vanilla Air, which actively developed air service to the archipelago.
Interestingly, the design of the inscription features hidden symbols of the Amami Islands: the rare Amami rabbit, tropical plants, butterflies, local birds, and elements of traditional Japanese textiles. Thanks to this, the aircraft became not only an advertising medium but also a unique flying calling card for the region.
On October 6, 2022, JA08VA completed its final flights in its special yellow livery, bringing this extraordinary chapter in the history of Japanese aviation to a close.

The model is made primarily of metal and features a high level of detail. The original fuselage livery, the Fly Peach to AMAMI lettering, the airline’s logos, the registration number JA08VA, the engines, antennas, and small technical markings have all been faithfully reproduced.
