The 23rd Bomb Squadron is a unit of the US Air Force that is part of the 5th Bomb Wing and is stationed at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. The squadron is ready to deploy and fly its B-52H aircraft in support of national security, ready to apply overwhelming nuclear or conventional firepower at any time to destroy targets anywhere in the world. The squadron is one of the oldest in the US Air Force, dating back to June 16, 1917, when it was organized at Kelly Field, Texas.
