Boeing 777-300ER Boeing House Colors World Tour N5017V Model, 1:400 Scale
This 1:400 scale collectible model of the Boeing 777-300ER Boeing House Colors World Tour N5017V recreates the first aircraft of this variant to be manufactured, which played a significant role in the development of long-haul aviation.
The actual Boeing 777-300ER, with serial number 32430, made its maiden flight on February 24, 2003. The aircraft was used to test a new variant featuring powerful General Electric GE90-115B engines, increased range, and improved wings.
A distinctive feature of aircraft N5017V was its “World Tour” demonstration livery, featuring a map of the world and city names on the fuselage. In 2003, the aircraft embarked on an international tour during which Boeing showcased the capabilities of the new airliner to potential customers.
In July 2004, the aircraft was transferred to Japan Airlines, where it was registered as JA732J. It operated passenger flights for over 21 years, ending its commercial service in November 2025.
The metal model reproduces the aircraft’s historic Boeing livery, the characteristic proportions of the fuselage, the large GE90 engines, the wings, and the detailed landing gear. Its special collector’s value stems from the history of the first Boeing 777-300ER and its original demonstration livery, which existed only for a limited time.
