This JC Wings collectible model recreates the Bombardier Dash 8 Q300 British Airways Express with registration number G-BRYJ. The actual aircraft belonged to the Dash 8 family—regional turboprop aircraft with a high-wing configuration and two engines. G-BRYJ was operated by Brymon Airways; later, the aircraft bore the British Airways Express name and livery.
The model features the classic British Airways livery, known to collectors as the Landor design: a light-colored fuselage, a dark underside, a red stripe, and the coat of arms on the tail. The fuselage bears the British Airways Express inscription and the registration number G-BRYJ.
The model is made primarily of metal on a 1:200 scale. The landing gear and included display stand allow it to be displayed on a shelf in two different ways. This is an interesting addition to any collection of British Airways aircraft and regional passenger aircraft.
