Boeing 727-281 keychain

The Boeing 727 is an American classic of the sky. It first flew in 1963 and was put into service the following year. The only trijet aircraft manufactured by Boeing has had an exceptional career and continues to operate flights to exotic destinations today. About 1,832 airframes of this narrow-body jet were produced in two series - “100” and “200” - until 1984.

This keychain was recycled from a 727 aircraft with a rich and interesting history. Starting its career with the Japanese airline All Nippon Airways
(ANA) as JA8355 in 1978, it remained in active service until 1990. In the new decade, the aircraft began its life in South Korea with Korean Air's flagship, where it remained in service until 1996 as HL7357, after which it returned to the United States.

Service in North America began with Dallas Aerospace, where the aircraft served until the beginning of the new millennium under registration number N240RC. In 2000, the 727 was re-registered as N724YS and began its service with Frys Electronics. At some point in the United States, the aircraft was upgraded to the “SUPER 27” variant, as well as 58 VIP seats in the cabin, long-range tanks, wingtips and, most importantly, a Stage ||| Pratt & Whitney JT8D-217C third-stage engine to improve performance. In particular, the aircraft has been used to transport soccer and hockey teams on charter flights throughout North America.

In 2017, the SUPER 27 was purchased by a British company under the registration number 2-SEVN. It was found at Lacham airfield, where it became a spare parts donor for the rest of 2Excel Aviation's active fleet, and its final disposal process will begin in the fall of 2022.
