The book is dedicated to the origin and establishment of civil aviation in Ukraine, the establishment and operation of management and regulatory bodies and civil aviation managers, as well as its current state in independent Ukraine. The book consists of four chapters and appendices.

The main chronological dates and events in the history of civil aviation are presented separately. The book is based on extensive archival material, some of which is published for the first time.
