The decorative blade is hand-painted
It's not just a propeller from a combat drone, it's a canvas on which the artist has painted his art. In 2024, Avtandil Gurgenidze, known for his unique approach to monumental painting, hand-painted a real Ukrainian drone blade, creating an art object that has no analogues.
Patterns, colors, lines - everything is thought out to the smallest detail: movement, force, and light are encoded in the painting. The work is made using acrylic, synthetic gels and Japanese liners. This object is impossible to repeat - it is an artifact that will go down in the history of the art of the new resistance. And now it is available only in one copy.
In addition to painting, the artist also creates monumental murals. His subjects include: one of the main metro stations in Tbilisi (Nadzaladevi), a weather station in the mountains at an altitude of 3750 meters, ski stations, many streets, playgrounds and street objects in Georgia and Europe. The artist spent two weeks painting an old AN-24 passenger plane in the hangar of Kyiv International Airport. The main feature of this art object is that the image was applied to the plane's body by hand with brushes. Avtandil Gurgenidze is also the first artist in the world to paint a Ukrainian-made unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV-2024).
