MiG-17PF Aviation Tag keychain

This keychain was made from a part of a MiG-17PF airplane. All keychains have a unique number.

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17 (NATO designation: Fresco) is a subsonic fighter aircraft designed and manufactured in the Soviet Union in the early 1950s.

“The Fresco quickly gained popularity around the world and was produced under license in China and Poland, with a total of more than 10,600 airframes produced in various versions. The jet was used in combat operations in the Middle East and Asia, namely in the successful campaign during the Vietnam War. The North Korean Air Force is still the only operator of this type today.

The tag you own has an interesting and unusual story. The manufacturing team managed to find the flap from an old aircraft technician. He adapted it to use it as a snow plow on his tractor and has owned the flap since the early 80s. He got the flap when the technician worked at the Vasylkiv air base, where he was stationed for his entire career.
After a lengthy and thorough examination and with the help of Ukrainian aviation historians, the fuselage team was able to determine that this part belonged to a MiG-17PF. A total of 668 units of the PF version were produced, equipped with the Izumrud weather radar and three HP-23 cannons. In addition, the number “10 Red” was also found on the valve. While we are unable to accurately trace the full history of this aircraft, evidence suggests that 10 Red was in service with the 39th Aviation Watch Regiment, to which it was assigned and disbanded at some point during the 1960s. We are deeply grateful to the technician who managed to preserve this unit and to Vitaliy Suprun, a dedicated and avid aviation enthusiast and historian, and of course to our team for their tremendous efforts in preserving this integral part of Ukrainian aviation history.

Keychain from the downed Russian Sukhoi S-70 Okhotnik-B

8400 UAH

A keychain made of real Sukhoi S70 Okhotnik-B (Okhotnik-B) is a heavy, stealthy unmanned combat aircraft (UAV). The development of the S-70 was started in 2011 by Sukhoi and later by the MiG aircraft corporation. The so-called Russian “innovative” prototype is apparently a “borrowed” version of the Boeing X-45 and Northrop Grumman X-47B programs from the early 2000s.
