The MSIP II modernization program has led to the emergence of a new modification - the F-16C/D. The F-16C is a single-seat advanced multi-role fighter (delivered to the US Air Force since July 1984) and a two-seat version of the F-16D (delivered to the US Air Force since September 1984). The first series of these aircraft was designated Block 25. The main difference was the AN/APG-68 radar, which differed from the previous one in its longer range, greater accuracy and wider range of functions. A wide-angle indicator was installed on the windshield and two blocks of dipole reflectors and AN/ALE-40 infrared traps were installed. Armament was increased by air-to-surface missiles AGM-65D “Maverick” missiles.
